LIFE GAMES MISSION
The Life Games is geared towards the support of cancer awareness and prevention as well as improving the quality of life of cancer patients and their families. The goal of this event is to raise funds to support cancer research and increase financial assistance for cancer patients currently undergoing medical treatment.
EVENT DESCRIPTION
The number of athletes in the Philippines has risen significantly over the past 5 years. Ultimate Frisbee teams have increased 200% in number since last year while Soccer and Futsal enthusiasts are continuing to grow rapidly as well. This year’s Life Games is estimated to have 1,500 participants from the Frisbee Teams, Futsal Teams and Soccer Teams from all over the province and neighboring towns. There will be 3 (three) groups per sport; the junior teams (elementary and high school), senior ladies teams and senior men’s team. Proposed venues are Macias Sports Complex and the Perdices Coliseum.
Life Games will offer all attendees a chance to participate in the fight against cancer while playing their favorite sport and promoting healthy minds and bodies. Each member of the team will be participating in honor of a child or adult affected with cancer. Competing in the event is a celebration of human spirit, physical ability and endurance. For the viewers, it will be a celebration of life.
The event will also hold a benefit concert sponsored by the local Christian church youth groups in the evening of August 21, 2011, celebrating the end of the event.
OUR AUDIENCE
By holding 3 different sporting events with 3 different categories and a night concert, the Life Games is sure to attract a wide audience. Our target markets are 12 – 45 years old, interested in playing sports with the guidance of a coach and the support of a team, while having the capacity and desire to raise significant funds for others in the community.
VISIBILITY
The Life Games will hold whole day events for 4 days (2 weekends) in August with 1 evening concert, offering sponsors promotional opportunities in this rapidly growing market.
